Renewable Energy 101: Solar - Not the only renewable on the market
Of course solar energy isn't the only renewable energy source out there.
Here's a list of some of the other technologies out there to help you
go green no matter where you live.
Wind
Wind is simple air in motion caused by the uneven heating of the earth’s
surface by the sun. Wind turbines, used to generate wind power, collect
the wind’s energy and slow down the speed of the wind, which flows
over the turbine blades causing them to lift and turn. The blades are
connected to a drive shaft that turns an electric generator to produce
electricity.
Biomass
Biomass is organic material made from plants and animals. Biomass
contains stored energy from the sun. Plants absorb the sun's energy
in a process called photosynthesis. The chemical energy in plants gets
passed on to animals and people that eat them. Biomass is a renewable
energy source because we can always grow more trees and crops, and
waste will always exist. Some examples of biomass fuels are wood,
crops, manure, and some garbage.
When burned, the chemical energy in biomass is released as heat, which
produces steam that's used to generate electricity.
Your path to clean energy. empowered, with solar incentives, rebates and discounts.
INTI Energy Solutions is a NABCEP certified, solar energy company registered with the California Energy Commission and as such, our administrative team is up to date with the most current financing options for installing renewable systems – that includes a number of different state and federal rebates, as well as, our INTI Solar PPA's, for large energy users who qualify.
California Solar Initiative
The California Solar Initiative offers solar rebates to customers of California's investor-owned utilities: Pacific Gas & Electric (PG&E), Southern California Edison (SCE), and San Diego Gas & Electric (SDG&E.)
Incentive levels are based on performance factors such as installation angle, tilt and location. This performance framework ensures that California is generating clean solar energy and rewarding systems that provide maximum solar generation.
Under the California Solar Initiative a number of rebates and discounts exist for those who qualify. Here are just some of the state programs that help just about any home owner or business qualify for substantial renewable energy savings.
California Solar Initiative
California Solar Initiative - Multi-Family Affordable Solar Housing (MASH) Program
California Solar Initiative - Pilot Solar Water Heating Program
California Solar Initiative - CEC - New Solar Homes Partnership
Emerging Renewables Program
Self-Generation Incentive Program
